Springbok cashback calculator: what a lost deposit can earn back
This Springbok cashback calculator works out what Springbok returns on deposits you lost without a bonus: 25% of them, up to R3,000, with a 10x playthrough on the cashback. Lose R2,000 of no-bonus deposits and the claim is worth R500, which must be played through R5,000 before it can be withdrawn.
There is no code. You ask Springbok's support for it once your balance is down to R10 or less.

Rule used 25% of busted no-bonus deposits, up to R3,000, 10x playthrough, balance R10 or less. Springbok's T&Cs give 40% for VIP players but publish no VIP criteria. Checked 9 October 2026 on Springbok's promotions page.
How a claim works
- There is no code: you ask Springbok's support for cashback.
- Deposits up to 90 days back count, as long as no bonus was used on them.
- Your balance has to be R10 or less when you ask.
Readout guide
How to read the cashback readout
Three readouts
- Cashback due
- 25% of the deposits you entered, stopped at R3,000. It reads R0 when the claim would not qualify.
- Deposits that count
- The part of your losses the percentage applies to. It tops out at R12,000, where the cashback reaches its ceiling.
- Playthrough before cash-out
- 10x the cashback: what you must bet with it before it can be withdrawn.
Below them, one line says whether the claim qualifies on your inputs and, if not, why: a bonus was used, the balance is too high, or nothing has been entered yet. Untick "None of these deposits used a bonus code" to see what changes when a bonus was involved.
Worked examples
Springbok cashback at five loss levels
| Lost deposits | Cashback | Deposits counted | Playthrough |
|---|---|---|---|
| R200 | R50 | R200 | R500 |
| R500 | R125 | R500 | R1,250 |
| R2,000 | R500 | R2,000 | R5,000 |
| R5,000 | R1,250 | R5,000 | R12,500 |
| R20,000 | R3,000 | R12,000 | R30,000 |
Beyond R12,000 of losses the cashback stays at R3,000.
Read the last row twice. Losses above R12,000 earn nothing extra, so cashback never grows to match a bad run. It is a partial, capped refund of a loss.
When a deposit qualifies for Springbok cashback
Springbok's promotions page sets the conditions below, and the calculator checks the first two.
No bonus on the deposit
Only deposits made without a bonus code count. A deposit that carried SPRINGBOK100, SPRINGBOK50 or SPRINGBOK300 is out, even if it was lost.
Balance at R10 or less
The claim is for a busted deposit, so the account has to be close to empty when you ask.
Within 90 days
Deposits up to 90 days back can be included, which is why the calculator's input is labelled with that window.
Ask support
There is no coupon to enter. Contact Springbok's support by live chat or at help@springbokcasino.co.za and request the cashback.
Keep a short deposit log
Note the date, the amount and whether a code was used each time you deposit. When you ask for cashback, a list of qualifying deposits makes the conversation with support quicker and easier to check.
The 10x cashback playthrough
Cashback arrives with its own playthrough: 10x the amount paid, on slots, keno, bingo and scratch cards, with other games contributing differently according to the promotions page. That page also lists no maximum payout on cashback, unlike Springbok's capped free-money offers. Verified · 9 October 2026

Compare that with bonus wagering, which multiplies the deposit and the bonus together: a R2,000 first deposit with SPRINGBOK100 needs R105,000. Cashback asks for far less betting because it returns part of a loss after the fact rather than adding money at the start.
Where the cashback terms differ
Springbok's pages disagree The balance limit, the look-back and the rate
Promotions page
Balance from zero up to R10; deposits up to 90 days back; 25% for everyone.
T&Cs v1.6
Balance under R10; a look-back counted in months rather than days; 40% for VIP players.
What the calculators use: The promotions page: a balance of exactly R10 counts as qualifying, and the rate is 25%. If your balance sits right on R10, ask support before relying on it.
On the VIP rate: the T&Cs mention VIP players and the higher percentage, but Springbok publishes no VIP criteria and one of its articles says there is no tier system. The calculator therefore uses 25%. Conflicting sources · 9 October 2026
What cashback will not do
- It does not cancel a loss. On R2,000 lost, R500 back still leaves most of the money gone, and the cashback has to be played through before it can be withdrawn.
- It does not cover bonus deposits. Once a code is used on a deposit, that deposit sits outside cashback.
- It is not a reason to deposit again. Putting more money in to win back a loss is chasing, one of the first warning signs of a gambling problem. If the cashback is the only thing keeping you playing, take the break instead.
Before any deposit, fix the amount you can afford to lose. The responsible gambling page turns it into a limit for each session and lists free help, including the national line on 0800 006 008.
To weigh cashback against a bonus on the same deposit, the bonus comparer puts the no-bonus route beside SPRINGBOK100 and SPRINGBOK300, and the wagering calculator covers the bonus offers in detail.
